Darrell Stout, Sr.

September 6, 1936 — March 12, 2017

Darrell Stout, Sr., 80 years old of Decatur, Ind., passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, September 6, 1936 in Bluffton, Indiana the son of the late Rosco Stout and the late Mary Opal (Joseph) Stout. He married Clara Ann Luginbill on April 27, 1956 in Mt. Hope Parsonage in Blue Creek Township.

Darrell was a member of the NRA. He was an Indianapolis Colts football fan and was a collector of die cast semi- trucks. He enjoyed woodworking and had built many items for his family. He enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

He was employed at Phelps Dodge in Fort Wayne in the wire die department for over 34 years.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Stout of Decatur; son, Darrell "Jr" Stout of Bryant; daughter, Robin (Mike) Strickler of Decatur; daughter, Teresa (Brad) Freiburger of Decatur; son, Brian (Cindy) Stout of Decatur; sister, Diann (Ed) Feasel of Decatur; brother, Woodrow "Woody" (Pat) Stout of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Troy Walker; Jamie Stout; Katie Paetz; Amanda (Kyle) Emenhiser; Spencer (Lilly) Mitchel; Kirstie (Andy) Brite; Heather (Daniel Flannery) Mitchel; & Brian “BJ” Stout; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Darrell in death were four brothers, Danny, Dale, & Jerry Stout and Rick Ladd and a sister, Connie Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Char Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur .

Preferred memorials are to Adams County Community Foundation Diabetes Fund.
