Naomi Krueckeberg

Naomi (Harvey) Krueckeberg, 90 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Adams Woodcrest.

She was born on Thursday, April 22, 1926 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Cecil Harvey and the late Bertha (Drummond) Harvey. She married Morris S. "Rosey" Krueckeberg on September 25, 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2011.

Naomi was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur.

She retired from North Adams Community Schools as a nurse for the elementary schools. Prior to that, she had worked for Dr. Norval Rich and also at Adams County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are her son, Kim (Sheryl) Krueckeberg of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Kay (Jim) Strasburg of Decatur, IN; daughter, Kelli (Mike) Jennings of Decatur, IN; daughter, Kendel (Brad) Krehl of Martinsburg, PA; daughter, Karla (Jeff) Frownfelter of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Gladys Braden of Decatur, IN; and sister, Betty (Josh) Zurcher of Monroe, IN. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Christie Fomby; Lori Garcia; Danielle Berwert; Ryan Jennings; Elliot Krehl; Jamie Krueckeberg; Kyle Stern; Betsy Krueckeberg; Noah Krehl; & Katie Kennard ; & ten great-grandchildren Alexis Fomby; Dana Garcia; Bryson Jennings; Madelyn Gibbs; Kaylee Jennings; Ashlyn Jennings; Reece Garcia; Hollyn Berwert; Raisy Stern; & Bradley Krehl.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kyle Krueckeberg; granddaughter, Kimberly S. Krueckeberg: three sisters, Mabel Cook; Rosanna Harvey; & Helen Harvey; & five brothers, Bryce, Calvin, William, Robert, & Richard Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur with Pastor James Voorman officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 12 noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 19 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church or Worship for Shut-Ins.
