Barry P Stuckey

Barry P. Stuckey , 65 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur.

He was born on Tuesday, June 12, 1951 in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Paul Stuckey and the late Vergene (Dro) Stuckey. He was united in marriage to Rebecca M. (Hakes) Stuckey on May 26, 1973.

Barry was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Marine Corp and being honorably discharged following his service at the rank of Sergeant.

Barry retired in May 2015 from PHD Inc in Fort Wayne after 28 years of service. He attended South Side High School in Fort Wayne before entering the USMC in 1969.

Barry loved astronomy, cars, music, he was a great handyman and master of anything he put his mind to. He loved his country and was very proud of his military service in the Marine Corps. His life was full of many joys but they all came second to his family.

Surviving are his wife, Beckie Stuckey of Decatur, IN; son, John(Kristy) Stuckey of Decatur, IN; son, Joseph (Stella) Stuckey of Decatur, IN; sister, Christine George of Claremont, NH; brother, James (Cindy) Stuckey of Fort Wayne, IN; mother-in-law, Gloria Hakes of Decatur, IN; seven grandchildren, Mason Salas, Samantha Wagstaff, J.T. Wagstaff, Casey Wagstaff, Alyssa Stuckey, Joseph Stuckey Jr., and Nia Stuckey.

Barry was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Moser.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Rev. Harold Klinker officiating.

Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 24 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to services Tuesday in the Funeral Home .

Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warrior Project or ACCF-Cancer Fund.
