Donald H. Lehrman

Donald H. Lehrman , 86, Monroeville, went to be with the Lord May 14, 2017. He was born in Allen County October 18, 1930 to the late Paul and Mabel (Schlemmer) Lehrman. He was united in Holy Matrimony with Janice S. Miller on January 14, 1951. Don was a member of East Liberty United Methodist Church where he was Church Treasurer for over 40 years. He served in the United States Army in Germany and was a Veteran of the Korean War, being honorably discharged January 20, 1954. He retired from International Harvester in 1982 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #420 and was a charter member of V.F.W. Post #10205. Don loved God, his family, Yankees, and watching his “kids” play ball. He coached many teams and was baseball scorekeeper for the Heritage Patriots for many years.

Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janice S. Lehrman of Monroeville; Dean (Janice) Lehrman of Hoagland; Lynn (Jeanne) Lehrman of Spencerville; Susan (Glenn) Watts of Decatur; Joni (Dale) Zeigler of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Joyce Hambrock of Fort Wayne; and Joella (Larry) Stephenson of Rockford, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister Noella Moore. He had 13 grandchildren: Max (Sarah) Lehrman; Camryn (Jeremy) Klocinski; Wayne (Codi) Lehrman; Derek (Amy) Lehrman; Greg (Katie) Watts; Jesse (Carly) Zeigler; Sarah (Kurt) Plummer; Connie (Brian) Phillips; Karen (Kyle) Milholland; Jacob Zeigler; Julie (Brad) Engle; Ryne (Makenna) Lehrman; Joseph Zeigler; and 13 great grandchildren: Olivia & Marissa Lehrman; Grace & Brantlee Lehrman; Nora Zeigler; Katelyn & Brookelyn Plummer; Leona & Sadie Phillips; Hallie & Conner Milholland; and Brinley & Jackson Engle.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the East Liberty United Methodist Church, Monroeville with Pastor Ralph Klinker officiating.

Friends will be received 2 -5 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Monroeville and Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Preferred memorials are to East Liberty United Methodist Church or the Monroeville Youth Baseball League.
