Deanne Osborn Taylor peacefully passed from this life to the next on August 25th after a 5-year bout with Parkinson’s disease.
Deanne was born in Willshire, Ohio and was valedictorian of her graduating class in 1958. She went on to West Suburban Nursing school and Wheaton College, graduating in 1963.
At Wheaton, she met her future husband, John Taylor, they married in 1962 and were married for 49 years. After graduation, she immediately took on the profession of motherhood, raising three children. Deanne later went on to receive her Master’s degree in nursing in 1977 from the University of Pittsburgh and then taught nursing at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Upon moving to California in 1979, Deanne again practiced nursing, then opened a small business with her husband, and ultimately became the administrative manager for her husband’s patent law practice for many years until his retirement. In 2006, Deanne and John moved to Texas to be near their daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed family time during those years.
Deanne was treasured for her loving character, generous and patient nature and deep faith in God through Jesus Christ. The light of Jesus shone brightly through her, blessing every person she came across through her life.
Deanne is survived by her three children, Kim Oliver of Austin TX, Kirk Taylor and Kerry Taylor of San Diego, CA. She also has seven grandchildren: Annaliese, Jared and Madalyn of Austin TX and Kento, Sage, Skyler and Nate of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by three siblings, Dean Osborn, Daryl Osborn and Deb Schmidt all from Ohio.
Following services that were held in Texas, funeral services for Deanne will be held locally at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home – Decatur where the family will receive friends and family one hour prior to services. Following the services at the funeral home, Deanne will be buried next to her husband, John, in Willshire Cemetery in Willshire, Ohio.
