Ralph W. Ross , 90, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Saturday, February 26, 1927 in Mercer County, Illinois the son of the late Ralph D. Ross and the late Glenna B. (Bradley) Ross. He married Patricia L. Lee on July 19, 1953 and she preceded him in death on August 27, 2013.
Ralph served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from General Electric in March 1987 with 42 years of service.
Ralph was a member of Salem Magley Church; American Legion Post #43; & the Decatur Moose #1311.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (Ric) Conner of Huntertown; son, Christopher (Pam) Ross of Warsaw; sister, Sally Schwartz of Berne; three brothers, Dan L. (Betty) Ross & Michael G. (Deb) Ross both of Decatur, & John R. (Cheryl) Ross of Corunna; three grandchildren; & six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth & William Ross.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2018 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Christopher Hirschy officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Magley with Military Graveside Services to be conducted by the American Legion Post #43 Color Guard.
Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 7 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
Preferred memorials are to Salem Magley Church or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
