Ruby K. McCullough Ogg , 81, of Decatur, IN passed away February 19, 2018 at Adams Woodcrest in Decatur.
She was born on February 5, 1937 in Laurel, Kentucky the daughter of the late Ballard B. Combs and the late Fannie E. (Hodge) Combs. She married Charles N. “Bud” McCullough on October 12, 1956 in Adams County, Indiana and he preceded her in death on May 22, 1992. On April 7, 2000, she married Richard B. Ogg and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2015.
Ruby retired from General Electric with 33 years of service. She had worked at Woodcrest Nursing Center & Evergreen Assisted Living as a CNA and also at Walmart for 2 ½ years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur where she served as the Sunday school superintendent and was a deaconess. She was also a longtime volunteer & donor for the American Red Cross in Adams County & volunteered at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of the Adams County Coin Club. She loved sewing, quilting and traveling.
Survivors include her son, Tony McCullough of Decatur, IN, son, Randy (Dot Eichhorn) L. McCullough of Decatur, IN, daughter, Rita K. Curtis of Ft. Wayne, IN, step-daughter, Pam (Dan) Strickler of Decatur, IN, step-daughter, Cindy (Rick) Roop, Gravette, AR, step-daughter, Shelly Ellenberger of Geneva, IN, step-daughter, Jackie Ogg of Decatur, IN, sister, Marie Hutzell of Richmond, IN, sister, Dorothy Wolfe of Decatur, IN, sister-in-law, Norma Combs of Cincinnati, OH, sister-in-law, Cheryl Combs of Decatur, IN; 5 grandchildren; Hailey (Michael) Straub, Carley (Tim) Hower, Molly McCullough, Riley McCullough, & Jarod Pharr; and 6 great grandchildren.
Ruby is preceded in death by her four brothers, Harve Combs, Johnnie Combs, Jesse Combs, & P. Dallas Combs; five sisters, Zola Clark, Suda Young, Ruth Peters, Ida Lou Danels, & Juanita Campos; and her step-son Mike Ogg.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Whitney West officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8, Thursday, February 22nd at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, and one hour prior to service on Friday at the funeral home.
