Harold A. Minnich, 95, former longtime resident of rural Willshire, Ohio passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Chalet Village in Berne.
He was born on Tuesday, June 6, 1922 in Wells County, Indiana the son of the late Oscar E. Minnich and the late Ethel M. (Mowery) Minnich. He married Lucrecia Ellen Burger on October 9, 1949 in Adams County, Indiana.
Harold was a graduate of Bluffton High School in 1942. He retired as the office manager of Meshberger Bros. Stone Corp. - Pleasant Mills Blue Creek Plant with 38 years of service. Harold was an avid fisherman and IU fan.
He was a member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene in Berne where he served on the church board & building committees. He was a Sunday school teacher & also helped with Bible school.
Harold was an avid fisherman and IU fan. He also bred and raised AKC Boxer dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Lucrecia Minnich of Willshire, OH, son, Daniel (Jan) Minnich of Willshire, OH, son, Stan (Cindy) Minnich of Geneva, IN, daughter, Julie (Kevin) Moss of Inman, SC, brother, Floyd Minnich of Warren, IN, sister, Mary Jane (Dave) Park of Bluffton, IN; 10 grandchildren, Andrea (Greg) Jahnke, Marica (Jeff) Kish, Kit (Shelby) Minnich, Lucus (Melissa) Minnich, Patrick (Ashley) Minnich, Grant (Terri) Minnich, Ben (Andrea) Minnich, Rev. Emily (James) Compton, Ryan Moss, & Kyla Moss; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Clarence & Wayne Minnich; and a sister, Clara Andrews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene, rural Berne with Pastor David Cox and Pastor Emily Compton officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope (Willard) Cemetery in Berne.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday, February 24th at Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene, rural Berne.
