Ronald W. Schueler , 62, of Decatur, Indiana passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, March 9, 2018. Ron was born September 9, 1955 in Decatur the son of the late Marcus Schueler and the late Ilo Jean (Grote) Schueler.

Ron graduated from Bellmont High School in 1973.  He was a longtime active voting member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble where he formerly served as trustee, deacon, and was on the cemetery committee.  Ron was also a member of Indiana Farm Bureau, Indiana Small Business, and Presidents Club Member of Becks Seed.

He was a lifelong farmer who loved giving rides on his tractor and combine to his nieces, nephews and also the neighborhood children. He was an avid fan of IU, Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR. He was especially a fan of Dale Earnhardt. Ron will be remembered for the love he had for his nieces & nephews and that he was a collector of anything.

Survivors include his sister, Arleen (Richard) Byrd of Ft. Wayne, IN; brother, David Schueler of Madison, WI; sister, Ellen (James) Bruns of Celina, OH; sister, Susan (Carl) Seddelmeyer of Decatur, IN; sister, Barbara (fiancée Mitch Braswell) Gaffer of Peachtree City, GA; brother, Norman Schueler of Decatur, IN; brother, James Schueler of Decatur, IN; sister, Corene (Nolan) Scheumann of Decatur, IN; brother, John (Claudia) Schueler of Decatur, IN; sister, Karen (Thomas) Dennison of Ft. Wayne, IN; business partner, Corey (fiancée Alisha Huffman) Bulmahn of Decatur, IN; 17 nieces & nephews; 22 great nieces & nephews and one on the way.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble with Rev. Dr. Daniel Brege officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Preble. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday & 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to service at church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School or Autism Society of Indiana.
