Darrel Allan "Al" Kreischer , 71, of St. Paris, Ohio was found at his residence on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018; his death was unexpected and was of natural causes.
Born on Friday, March 14, 1947 in Decatur, Indiana Al was the son of the late Harold Darrel "Swat" Kreischer and the late Violet Lockwood (Woodruff) Kreischer.
Al retired from Navistar following 30 years of service. He started in Fort Wayne before transferring to Springfield where he continued his employment.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge #1311 in Decatur.
Survivors include his son, Chad "Chip" (Denise) Kreischer of Decatur, IN; son, Benjamin "Ben" Kreischer of Carmel, IN; son, Jeremy "Joe" (Kristy) Kreischer of Annapolis, MD; son, Nicholas "Nick" Kreischer of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Sharon Cowans of Decatur, IN; sister, Janice Schelsky of Stillwater, OK; former spouse, Martha "Joy" (Hargis) Begley of Celina, OH; nine grandchildren, Breanna (Ryan) Bauman, Leah Kreischer, Corbin Kreischer, Alexander "Alec" Kreischer, Hannah (Nick) Barnett, Cameron Kreischer, Kollin Kreischer, Lily Kreischer, and Charlee Kreischer; and four great grandchildren, Catherine Bauman, Atalie Bauman, Nohlan Bauman, and Rowan Kreischer.
Al is preceded in death by a son, Troy Kreischer, in infancy.
Friends will be received for a Memorial Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 6th at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
