She was born on Monday, January 17, 1949 in Decatur, IN the daughter of the late Orland and the late Helen (May) Miller. Sandy was united in marriage to Jack L. Clem on July 4, 1970 in Monroeville. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2015.
Sandy was a special education school teacher at Monroeville Elementary, and Heritage JR/SR High School for over 30 years, retiring in 2016. She also had worked at the family business, Clem's Market until 1992.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and loved her cats.
She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville.
Survivors include two sons, Jason (Missy) Clem, and Matthew (Meaghan) Clem all of Monroeville; sisters, Vicky (Lynn) French of Ossian and Bobbie (Mark) Rothgeb of Monroeville; seven grandchildren: Brooke; Kassidy; Jordan; Kamdyn; Chandler; Landon; and Noah.
Sandy was preceded in death by two sisters, Nira Schiemann and Belva Strickler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Monroeville with Pastor David Willamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery in Monroeville.
Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 Wednesday May 9, 2018 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville and one hour prior to services at the church.
Preferred memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice or St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Monroeville .
