Shirley J. Clover , 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and a former longtime resident of Monroeville passed away Tuesday morning, August 14, 2018, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born on July 23, 1935 in Hoagland, Indiana to Carl and Clara (Judt) Saalfrank. On November 25, 1965, she married James L. Clover at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest in Fort Wayne and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1989.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest.
Shirley was a graduate of Hoagland High School in 1953. She was a homemaker and had worked at Brighton Hall Nursing Home, Luginbill Wire & Die in New Haven, & Lutheran Life Villages.
She is survived by her son, Terry L. Clover of Fort Wayne; brother, Robert (Celeste) Saalfrank of Fort Wayne; three step-grandchildren, Brittney Grier, Jacob Grier, & Desiree Slater; two step-great-grandchildren, Ximena Grier & Jamari Slater; & several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Sheba Clover; four brothers, Melvin, George, Raymond & Richard Saalfrank; and a sister, Alberta Whittern.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Soest located 9909 Wayne Trace in Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior at the church on Saturday. Pastor Josef Henning will officiate & burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Soest.
