Leo E. Ross

Leo E. Ross , 82, of Decatur, Indiana passed away early Sunday morning, August 26, 2018 at Sage Bluff Nursing Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Leo retired in 2002 from Ruan Trucking in Decatur with 11 years of service. He had previously been employed with McIntosh in Berne for 18 years and also helped with Barker’s Wrecker Service for many years. Leo was involved with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department as a Reserve for many years and also served as a police officer for the City of Berne for one year.

He was a past member of the Moose Lodge #1311 in Decatur.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce F. Ross of Decatur; daughter, Doreen K. (Don) Longworth of Decatur; son, Larry D. (Jane) Ross of Decatur; two brothers, Bill (Jean) Ross & Ervin (Barbara) Ross both of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Amanda High, Ashley Bremer, Matt Ross, Shane Ross, Brandon Longworth, Adam Ross, and Kazia Ross; & seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Allen W. Ross on January 3, 2015 and Christopher R. Ross on March 26, 2018; six brothers; & three sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Ernie Suman officiating. Burial will follow at Ray Cemetery in Monroe, Indiana.

Family & friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
