Ruth Ann Roehm , 71, of Willshire, OH walked through the Eternal gate to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, September 7, 2018 at home.
She was born on Sunday, April 27, 1947 in Celina, OH the daughter of the late Carl Jacob Smalley and the late Alice (Smith) Smalley. She married Elmer Roehm on May 22, 1992 in College Station Texas.
Ruth Ann worked at Laurels Assisted Living in Rockford, Ohio as a nurse's aide and also at Woodcrest for eight years as the activities director.
Ruth Ann was a Supervisor of Faith Outreach Christian School from 1982-1984, a foster parent, featured speaker for Women's A Glow, Navasota band booster parent, she chaperoned many trips, was Sunday School Teacher, worship leader and song leader. She enjoyed visiting residents at the nursing home. She was also a State certified nursing assistant. Ruth Ann was a member of Zion Lutheran- Schumm and Only Believe Ministries.
Survivors include her husband Elmer Roehm; daughter, Anna (Mark) Duncan of Lima OH; step-son, Kerry (Debbie) Roehm of Rockford, OH; step-daughter, Annette (Jeff) Brehm of Celina, OH; sister, Linda Barkley of Decatur, IN; sister, Julie (Van Riley) Long of Rockford, OH; brother, Tom (Deb) Smalley of Celina, OH; step-brother, Jr. (Connie) Brigner of Rockford, OH; step-brother, Mac (Deb) Brigner of Payne, OH; step-sister, Susan Jane Kuhn of Rockford, OH; six grandchildren, Amanda (Jordan) Henkle, Austin Dugan, Kameron Roehm, Madison Roehm, Hannah Duncan and Juliette Duncan; three great-grandchildren, Rhett Henkle, Laikyn Henkle and Amelia Dugan.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother Bessie Brigner McAfee, one step-sister Margret Hill, and one half-brother Hugh Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2018 with one hour visitation prior to services at Praise Point Church 555 Decatur Rd. Willshire, OH with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran-Schumm Cemetery.
Friends will be received Tuesday September 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. at Praise Point Church Willshire, OH .
Preferred memorials: Praise Point Church, Zion Lutheran Church- Schumm, and Van Wert Hospice Community Health Professionals.
