Gale Harvey Nidlinger, 95, of Berne, Indiana passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Swiss Village in Berne.
He was born on May 25, 1923 in Monroe the son of the late Roy Nidlinger and the late Iva (Harvey) Nidlinger. He married Donna Branch on April 8, 1944 in Monroe, Indiana and she survives.
Gale was a lifelong Washington Township farmer and was a school bus driver for almost 30 years for North Adams Community Schools. Gale loved the little ones on his bus and the affection they showed him.
He served on the North Adams Community School Board and the Union Township Lion's Club. He was longtime active member of the Gospel Temple in Fort Wayne and later attended 1st Missionary Church in Fort Wayne & Decatur Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Nidlinger of Berne, IN; daughter, Patricia Ann (Dave) Lister of Fort Wayne, IN; three grandchildren, Michelle Lister, Matthew Lister & Janelle (Derry) Prenkert; seven great-grandchildren; a niece and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Beavers & Juanita Fosnaugh.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Swiss Village Auditorium with Pastor Mike Wertenberger officiating.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service on Saturday, October 20 at Swiss Village Auditorium in Berne, Indiana.
Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village or Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
