Francille L. Zimmerman, 97, Berne, passed away Friday, July 15 at Swiss Village where she was a resident. She was born on December 29, 1918 in Van Wert County Ohio, to Claud and Essie(Koos)Harvey. She graduated from Monroe High School, Monroe, Indiana in 1936, as salutatorian. On October 2, 1938 she married Edward E. Zimmerman of Berne. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2009 after 71 years of marriage.
She was a member of the West Missionary Church and served as Sunday School secretary and church financial secretary for a number of years. She was also employed as a legal secretary to Howard Baumgartner, local attorney, for several years. She enjoyed sewing and working outside with her flowers and lawn.

helby)Zimmerman of Berne, two grand sons, Brent(Renea)Zimmerman of Bluffton, OH, Kevin(Liza)Zimmerman of Villa Park, Ill., great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Zimmerman, great-grandson, Bryan Zimmerman of Bluffton, great-granddaughters, Isabela and Nalia Zimmerman, and great-grandson, Mekhi Zimmerman of Villa Park, Ill., brother, Don Harvey of rural Bluffton, sister, Kathleen Frantz of Bluffton.
Preceding in death are her parents, husband, sister Vera Myers, and brothers, Dale and Claude(Pete)Harvey.
Funeral services are Monday, July 18 at 9:30 am at the Swiss Village Chapel, Berne with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation also Sunday, July 17 from 2 to 6 pm. Officiating is Pastor Keith Rupp. Burial is in he MRE Cemetery, Berne.
Preferred memorials are to the West Missionary Church.
