Robert W. "Bob" Flueckiger, 92, Berne passed away on March 15, 2016 at Swiss Village, Berne. He was born on January 20, 1924 in Adams County IN. to Carl and Nora (Mettler) Flueckiger. He married Marilyn Lehman on July 3, 1948 in Adams County.
Bob was a lifelong member of the First Mennonite Church and an announcer for the weekly Songs of Praise Broadcast. He was a purchasing agent for Dunbar Furniture and Berco Co. and enjoyed farming on a part-time basis. During his retirement he worked at Club Limberlost Golf Course, Geneva. Bob was a veteran serving in the U S Army Air Corp during WW II. Favorite pasttimes were reading and fishing.
Survivors include; son, Russell(Susan)Flueckiger of Geneva, daughters; Joyce Flueckiger of Indianapolis, Judy(Scott)Preheim of Middlebury, IN., brother, Jerome Flueckiger of Berne, sisters; Geraldine Craig of Marion, Sharlene Warthman of Bluffton, grandsons; John and Andrew Flueckiger, and 3 great-grandchildren, Elvira and Matteo Flueckiger of Geneva, Milo Flueckiger of Las Vegas, NV..
Preceding in death are his parents, wife, Marilyn('05), and sister Maxine Moore.
Funeral service is Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 am at the First
Mennonite Church Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation also Friday, March 18 from 2 to 8 pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Officiating is Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
Preferred memorials are to the First Mennonite Church &/or Boys-Girls Club of Adams County.
