Norma A. Poorman, 87, Berne, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born to Alton and Lillie Moser
Schindler on December 22, 1928 in Adams County. She married John Poorman on February 14, 1947.
She was a member of the Free Christian Church of God and retired from Decatur General Electric Co. with 42 years of service. Norma enjoyed cooking, shopping and accompanying her husband who sang in a traveling gospel quartet.
Survivors include nephews and nieces; Sonja(Poorman)Roebuck, Kathy(Poorman)Picano, Arlene(Poorman)Emrick, Karen Hirschy, Carol Roth, Jan Krick, Marsha and Joanne Schindler, Susie(Schindler)Heidenreich, and nephew Lynn "Dusty" Dustman.
Preceding in death are her; parents, husband, sister, Harriet Dustman Harrison, and brothers; Max and Lester Schindler, and 3 nephews.
Funeral services are Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Swiss Village Chapel with visitation from 12 noon to time of services. Officiating is Pastor James Fry. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
Preferred memorials are to Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
