Kenneth E. Wanner, 94, Berne, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Swiss Village, Berne. He was born to Ezra and Alta Wanner on June 22, 1920 in Adams County, In. He married Lorene Steiner on March 29, 1941 who died in 2004.
The well known and retired farmer was a member of the West Missionary Church where he was a member of the church board, taught Sunday School, was Sunday School superintendent and went on several mission trips to Hawaii. Ken served on the Swiss Village board of directors and the South Adams School board. Special interests include; traveling, woodworking and gardening.
Survivors include his son, Dr. Loren(Judy)Wanner of Bluffton and daughter-in-law Rachel Wanner of Fort Wayne, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death is his wife, sons, Max & Wayne Wanner, sisters,; Mildred and Pauline Wanner, Vera Kistler, brothers; Wilbur and Clarence Wanner.
Funeral services are Sunday, June 21, 2015, 2:00 pm at the West Missionary Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Saturday, June 20 from 2 to 8 pm at the Swiss Village Chapel. Officiating is Pastor Keith Rupp. Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
Preferred memorials are to the West Missionary Church &/or Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
