Bonnie L. VonGunten,74, Berne, IN passed away April 17, 2015 at home with her family. She was born to Clinton and Sylva(Stucky)Dubach on March 23, 1941. She married Roger W. VonGunten on January 29, 1961,

She was an active member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne where she served on many committees over the years. Bonnie was most remembered for her love of cooking and crafts. She started her career at The Coffee Shop in Berne and spent many hours raising the baby calves at Hillcrest Dairy Farm. She also volunteered at Swiss Village organizing crafts and activities for residents. Her life was truly a service to others, whether it was her newest dessert to sample or a heartfelt handmade card for your birthday. Bonnie was sure to brighten any day. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and vacationing in Florida.

Survivors include her husband Roger, her children: Tamara Evans of Fort Wayne and Vicki(Nicholas)Kuprowicz of Springboro, OH, 1 son; Scott(Vicki)VonGunten of Berne, 7 grandchildren; Brittani(Anthony)Russell, Samatha Evans, Faith, Autumn, and Jillean VonGunten, Colin and Claire Kuprowicz and 2 great-grandsons: Gavin and Monroe Russell. Also surviving are 3 brothers and 1 sister: Harry, Larry, James Dubach and Carolyn Hunnicutt.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters: Virginia, Maxine and Kathleen

Funeral services are Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the First Mennonite Church with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation also Monday, April 20 from 2 to 8 PM at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.Berne. Officiating is Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger. Burial is in the M.R.E. Cemetery, Berne, IN.
