Harvey L. Teeple, 95, Linn Grove, IN. passed away March 31, 2015 at his home. He was born to Henry I, and Sarah O. Willis Teeple on October 4, 1919 in Wells County, IN. He married Edith Rose Moeschberger on May 16, 1953.
He was a member of the St. Luke Church, rural Decatur. Harvey was a farmer, worked at Tocsin Grain Elevator, and the Geneva Sale Barn. He was known to many friends as "Hub" in Wells County. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the Army Air Corp and stationed on the island of Tinian, South Pacific. Harvey was involved with 4-H for many years, loved to tell stories of his life, took up embroidery with his wife in retirement and loved to work in the church.
Survivors include: 3 daughters; Rose(Randy)
Bryan of Geneva, Janet(James)Dennison of Berne, Beverly(Clarence)Zimmerman of Bluffton, 4 sons; David(Tammy)Teeple of Berne, Dee(Becky)Teeple of Berne, Dwight(Lonnie)Teeple of Berne, Dale(Judy)Teeple of Bancroft, MI., 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are his parents, his wife, a brother, a sister, several half brothers and sisters, and step sisters.
Funeral services are Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the St. Luke Church. Visitation also Friday from 2 to 8 PM at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne. Officiating is Pastor Mike Wertenberger. Burial is in the St.John Cemetery, rural Vera Cruz, IN with graveside military services by the Bluffton Post #111.
