Kenneth E Yoder, 87, Berne, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Bluffton Regional. He was born to Chancy and Lillian (Bohren) Yoder on December 25, 1926 in Adams County, Indiana. Ken married Jeannette Strahm on November 30, 1952.
Kenneth was a member of the Berne Evangelical Church. He was employed at Dunbar Furniture, CTS Corp, and retired from Micro-Matic. He and his uncle, Al Yoder was in the roofing business for a number of years. Ken was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His interests centered on woodworking and making wooden puzzles.
Survivors include; his wife, daughter, Jennifer L. Grigson of Garland, TX., son, Jay (Ronda) Yoder of Mishawaka, sisters; Darlene (Claren) Lehman, Alice Ehrman, Janis (Leonard) Balsiger, all of Berne, 5 grandchildren, Holly and Travis Grigson, Heidi Skelton, Michael and Aaron Yoder, and 9 great-grandchldren.
Funeral services are Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Berne Evangelical Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation is also Friday, from 3 to 8 pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Officiating is Pastor Kent Fahl. Burial is in the Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be performed by Berne Post #468.
Preferred memorials are to the Church or Swiss Village.
