Kathleen J. Agler, 76, Berne, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Swiss Village, Berne. She was born to Clinton and Silva(Stucky) Dubach on March 16, 1937, in Adams County, In. She married Thomas E. Agler on July 17, 1955.
Kathleen graduated from Hartford High School, Ft.Wayne Beauty School and Indiana University. She was an elementary school teacher in the South Adams Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1999. She was named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers 3 times and a member of ISTA, SACTA, & IRTA; Kathleen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Geneva: Special interests include; reading, gardening, basket weaving, crafts, quilting, and most of all her family.
Survivors include: her husband , son,Jeffery(Jane)Agler of Berne, daughters; Terri Agler, Lisa Wrightsman both of Indianapolis, Beth(Rod)Rudolph of Hawaii, sisters; Bonnie(Roger)VonGunten of Berne, Carolyn(Jerry)Hunnicutt of Bella Vista, Ark., brothers; James(Karen)Dubach of Geneva, Larry(Jeanne)Dubach of Berne, Harry(Carol)Dubach of Berne, and 6 grandchildren.
Preceding in death are her parents, sisters, Maxine Coak, and Virginia Harter.
Funeral services are Wednesday, November 27 at 10:30 am at the First United Methodist Church,
Geneva with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Tuesday from 2 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Officiating are Pastors Michele Isch and Barry McCune.
Burial is in the Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, OH.
Preferred memorials are to the Adams County Foundation-heart fund &/or the diabetes fund.
