Evelyn Neuenschwander McIntosh, 92, St. Andres Estates, Boca Raton, Fl,, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2013.She was born on January 3, 1921 in Freeman SD. to Elmer and Alina(Sprunger) Neuenschwander. She attended Central Academy in McPherson, KA. and graduated from Fort Wayne Bible Institute.
She is survived by a sister Edna(Mrs. Daniel)Dyck of Wakarusa, IN
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbnd in 1997, sisters; Esther Richert, Ann Neuenschwander, Lois Neuenschwander(infancy) and brothers; Elbert, Gordon, and Elmer Neuenschwander..
She and her husband, Rev.Donald T.McIntosh, were some of the founding members of China Outreach Ministries(COM) , Mechanicsburg,PA. She continued as a Board Member Emeritus of COM until the time of death. Prior to their ministry a COM, she and her husband served in several pastorates in Ohio and Maryland. The also traveled extensively in India, China and other countries as part of their ministry activities. Following Rev. McIntosh's retirement in 1982, they coordinated mission festivals and promoted COM support throughout the U.S.. She was a regular constituent of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL. until failing health confined her to St. Andrews Estates. She was also an accomplished pianist and played regularly for vesper services.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 1 at 2;00 pm at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Berne with visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Officiating is Pastor David Dyck.
Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery in Berne.
