Thomas A. Craig, 77, Decatur, passed away October 17, 2013 at the Bluffton Regional Hospital. He was born to Thurman and Frances(Allen) Craig on January 30, 1936 in Richmond, IN. He married Dixie Swan on June 20, 1954.
Tom attended Geneva High School where he played baseball, basketball and track. He retired from St. Gobain Glass Corp in Dunkirk, IN
with over 35 years of service. He also worked earlier at Dunbar Furniture in Berne. Special interests include: collecting glass, coins, stamps, and flying remote model airplanes. Tom also enjoyed gospel music and was an avid sports fan. He also had an auctioneering licence.
Survivors include: sons, Jeffrey D Craig of Decatur, Tom L. Craig of Olathe, KA., Michael R. Craig of Portland, IN and daughter, Jennifer L. Craig of Osgood, IN, brother, Dan(Dixie)Craig of Upland, IN, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are his parents, sister, Connie Gilmore, grandson, Trent A.Craig, and granddaughter, Kassi Craig.
Funeral services are Wednesday, October 23, at the Mt. Hope Church, rural Berne at 10:30 am. with visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Visitation also Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Officiating are Pastors Thomas M. Craig and Christopher L. Shallenberger.
Burial is in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, rural Berne.
Preferred memorials are to the Family or Donor's Choice.
