Harriet L. Habegger, 77, Berne passed away Wednesday morning, July 31, 2013 at Swiss Village after a short illness. She was born to Oren A. and Nina B. (Hossler) Nicloy on June 20, 1936 in Fort Wayne, IN. She married Merlin W. Habegger on April 5, 1969.
She was a member of the First Missionary Church where she taught Sunday School. She was an integral part of her husband's construction business, M.W. Habegger Construction. She also worked in the office for Meshberger Stone Co., Fort Wayne State School, and Fort Wayne City Schools. She was an active member of the Berne Garden Club. Her interests included; reading, gardening, quilting, and making teddy bears for overseas missions.
Survivors include; husband, Merlin, son, Steven(Nan)Habegger of Knoxville,TN., daughters, Jane K.(Robert)Summers of Berne, Carol S.(Steve)Counsell of Indianapolis, and special daughter, Laurie(John)Kaeser of Berne, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are her parents and brother Harold Gene Nicloy.
Funeral services are Sunday, August 4, at 3pm at the First Missionary Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Saturday from 2 to 8 pm at Swiss Village. Officiating are Pastor Max Haines, Pastor Paul Patton, and Pastor Stan Zurcher
Preferred memorials are to the First Missionary Church &/or Family Life Care.
Burial is at the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
