Berniece Lehmann, 96, Berne, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Swiss Village. She was born to Jeff and Sarah(Gilliom)Liechty on June 28, 1916 in Adams County. She married Edison Lehmann on June 17, 1934.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Mennonite Church where she sang in the chancel choir and volunteered at the MCC Meat Canner. She also was a volunteer with her husband at the Children's Bible Mission Camp at Camp Gilead, Fla. Berniece cherished her family and enjoyed sewing, baking, and playing games.
Survivors include daughters; Shirley(Ed)Prentiss of Berne, Karen(Roy)Lehman of Berne, Wanda(Paul)Smith of Columbus Grove, OH, Arlene(Beth)Lehmann of Goshen, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.
Preceding in death are her parents, husband, daughter, Donna Lehman, sisters; Agnes Reinhard, Edith Gottschalk, Esther McCoy, Florence Lehman, Helen Liechty ,and brother, Clarence Liechty
Funeral services are Monday, May 6, 2013 at 10:30am at the First Mennonite Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Sunday from 3 to 8 pm at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home. Officiating is Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger.
Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.
Preferred memorials are to First Mennonite Church Missions, Swiss Village Samaritan Fund &/or Miracle Hill, Greenville, S.C.
