Anna Jane Gilliom, 88, Berne, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Swiss Village. She was born to C.W.R. and Minnie(Sprunger) Schwartz on February 20, 1925 in Adams County. She married Laverne "Bowtie" Gilliom on January 25, 1948, who survives.

Anna was a member of the First Mennonite Church where she volunteered in many church activities. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and helped operate the family chicken business. She also volunteered at Et Cetera Ecke. Special interests include; her children, grandchildren, crocheting, gardening, and mowing.

Survivors include; her husband, daughters; Carol Gilliom of Ronald, WA, Betty Mosure of Berne, Judy(Dan)Rosenberger of Sheridan, IN, sons; Tom(Martha)Gilliom of West Lafayette, Richard(Mary)Gilliom of Goshen, IN, sisters; Gertrude Kropa, Merideth, NH, step sister, Colleen(William)Allmandinger of Berne, 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death are her parents, sisters; Ruth Brown, Mary Bahner, Vera Lehman, Virginia Sprunger, brothers; Ernest, Harold, and Larry Schwartz. Step siblings; Rosie Kuhn and Darrell Wagner.

Memorial services are Saturday, March 16 at 2:00 pm at the First Mennonite Church Chapel with visitation from 12:30pm to time of services. Officiating is Pastor Jeff Linthicum.

Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to First Mennonite Church Missions &/or Swiss Village Samaratan Fund.
