Raymond A. Double, 92, Berne, formerly of Geneva passed away January 23, 2013 at Swiss Village. He was born to Kenneth and Olive(Balsley) Double on March 12, 1920 in Wells County. He married Mary Lichtenberger on June 16, 1946.

Raymond was employed at Franklin Electric for 33 years and was also engaged in farming. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army and was a POW for 27 months. Ray was a member of the Geneva VFW and the Bluffton American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horse riding.

Surviving are 3 sons; Jerry(Debbie)Double of Berne, Gary(Karen) Double of Bluffton, Marvin(Deb)Double of Pleasant Mills and a daughter; Judy(Richard)Clutter of Geneva. And a half brother, Paul Double of Ossian. 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death is his wife, brother, Richard Double and step-brother, Eugene Double

Funeral services are on Monday, January 28 at 10:00 am at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Sunday from 2 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Officiating is Pastor James Bontrager.

Burial is in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Military rites by the Berne American Legion Post #468
