Helen M. Stucky, 98, Berne, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Swiss Village. She was born to Calvin R. and Barbara S.(Lehman) Liechty on May 4, 1914. She was married on November 29, 1936(63 years) to Loris D. Stucky who died in 2000.

She was a resident of Swiss Village Retirement Community and a member of the First Mennonite Church. She graduated from Berne High School and Warner Beauty School in Fort Wayne. Helen was an employee of the Nussbaum Novelty and later was owner and operator of the Swan Beauty Shoppe. She was past president of the Berne Garden Club and the Home Economic Extension Club. And for 27 years she worked as a waitress and salad maker for the Palmer House Restaurant retiring in 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (David) Flueckiger of Berne and a son, Kerry (Darlene) Stucky of Naperville, IL. Also grandchildren; Scot (Holly) Flueckiger of Ottawa, OH., Stacy (Tim) Greer of Avon, IN., Kristina Stucky of Naperville, IL., and Matthew (Melissa) Stucky of Rockford, IL., great-grandchildren, Collin and Kaleigh Flueckiger and Nolan and Helene Greer. Also a sister, Elfrieda Pflueger of Fort Wayne.

Preceding in death is a daughter, LuAnne Mae Stucky, sisters, Edna Dester, Trella Norr, Maryann Reinhard, Linda Liechty and a brother, Paul E. Liechty.

Funeral services are Saturday, December 29 at 10:30 am at the Swiss Village Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation on Friday from 3 to 8 pm at Swiss Village. Officiating is Pastor Jerry A.Flueckiger.

Burial is in the MRE Cemetery, Berne
