Mildred L. Brinneman, 94, Berne, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Swiss Village. She was born to William and Dovie (Bellville) Killingbeck on June 19, 1918 in Michigan City, IN. She married Vernon Brinneman on June 6, 1940 and lived in Wells County most of her life.
Mildred was a member of the Mullberry Street Wesleyan Church, Bluffton, where she was a choir member and served on the church board. She was a nurse's aide at the Fort Wayne State School Hospital and the Caylor-Nickel Clinic, Bluffton. Special interests included: writing poems, publishing a book entitled "Reflections", publishing a song, loved to sketch, travel, camp, and crochet.
Survivors include: a daughter, Kathryn (Jerry) Powers, Warren, and a son, Lorin (Frances) Brinneman, Berne, 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death is her husband, a son, James Brinneman, brothers, Courtney and Howard Killingbeck. half brother, Earl "Bud" DeVaux, and sisters, Hattie Williams and Clara Bailey.
Funeral services are on Tuesday, October 23 at 2:00 pm at the Swiss Village Chapel with visitation from 10:00 am to time of services.
Burial is in the Bethel Cemetery, Wells County.
