Frieda P. Yager, 94, Berne, passed away Tuesday, February 14, at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born to Glen and Elta(Tinkham) Myers on April 9, 1917 in Wells County. She married the late Sam Yager on June 6, 1940.
Frieda was active in church and community affairs. In church she was Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher and was a teacher at the Adams Central Bible School, She was employed at Berne Furniture for 4 years, and secretary for Lehman Veterinary for 10 years. She and her husband were church custodians for 10 years. Special interests include: sewing, crocheting, quilting, ceramics, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. And she loved her family and grandchildren.
Survivors are 2 daughters, Miriam(Max) Reinhard, Berne, Bernice(John H.) Augsburger, Berne and son Glen(Carol) Yager, Berne. There are 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, & 2 great-great grandchildren. And a brother, Robert Myers, Berne.
Preceeding in death are 2 brothers, Melvin and William Myers.
Funeral services are Saturday at Bethel Brethren Church at 10:30 am with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also on Friday, at the Swiss Village Chapel from 2 to 8 PM. Officiating is Pastor Joe Nass.
Burial is at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery, rural Decatur, with graveside services at 1:30 pm.
