Cleo Naomi(Wall) Augsburger, 88, Berne passed away on Tuesday, January 31 at Swiss Village. She was born on September 7, 1923, in Steuben County, Indiana, and was the youngest child of Hiram Clayton and May Esther (Harrison) Wall. They moved to a farm in Jefferson County and she graduated from Jefferson High School in 1941. Cleo was married on January 24, 1942, to Warren Dale Augsburger of Berne who died on December 2, 2002.

Cleo attended New Corydon United Methodist Church for many years and later was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Berne. She enjoyed bowling, euchre, and pool until her health failed. She was employed at the Winner House, Berne Kroger Store, CTS Corp., and retired from Moser Motors. She was one of the first women to run for election on the Berne City Council. Cleo was a longtime member of the Pleasant Neighbors Home Demonstration Club.

She is survived by two sons, Stanley(Nancy) Augsburger, Millersport, Ohio and Steven(Sandra) Augsburger of Powder Springs, GA: six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Tod(Diane) Augsburger, Ashley and Alison, Lexington, SC: Jeff(Denise) Augsburger, Kyle and Katelyn, Gahanna, OH: Jennifer Augsburger, College Park`, MD: Christina Augsburger,(Josef Kriegl), Julian and Samuel, San Diego, CA: Stephanie(Tim) Tuan, Lucas and Damon, San Jose, CA: and Melissa Ausburger, Columbia, SC, She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Roberta Wall of Leesburg, Fla.

She is preceded in death by her husband, infant daughter, Janet Marie in 1946, grandson, Steven M. Augsburger, 2005, brothers, Royce E. Wall and Claudie T. Wall, and half siblings Victor Roscoe, Bert E.
Wall, Iva Elota Uptegraft, Harry Cleophus Wall, Alva Ray Wall, Donald R. Wall, Treva T. Wall, and Virgil B. Harrison.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 2 at 10:30 am at the Swiss Village Chapel with visitation on Thursday from 9am to time of services. Officiating is Pastor Mark Harris.

Burial in the Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery, rural Berne.

Preferred memorials to the Swiss Village Samaritan Fund.
