Evangeline L. Lehman, 90, Berne, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Swiss Village, Berne. She was the daughter of Oren and Louise(Kirchhofer) Moser born on February 3, 1921 in Adams County. She married Ornell Lehman on September 30, 1955. Ornell preceeded her in death on January 24, 1990.
Evangeline was a life long member of the First Mennonite Church and in her earlier years taught Sunday School and played the piano for the Sunday evening services. For several years she played in the Zuercher Accordion Band. She worked at Foodtown after graduating from Monroe High School in 1939 . Then was employed at the IGA Grocery and later was a seamstress at the Berne Apparel. Hobbies include: needle point, crocheting, reading and listening to music.
Survivors include a brother, Virgil(Patricia) Moser, Bluffton, along with several nieces and nephews living in various parts of the country. Three sister-in-laws also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Howard Moser.
Funeral services are Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Tuesday from 3 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Officiating are Pastors Anita Rediger and Jerry A. Flueckiger.
