Charles E. Wulliman, 94, Berne, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at Swiss Village. He was born to Mennis and Pauline(Sprunger) Wulliman on Januay 17, 1917 in Adams County. He married Lavon (Lehman) Wulliman on February 4, 1941 who survives.
Charles was a retired farmer and carpenter. And as a member of the First Mennonite Church he served as trustee, and sang in the Men's Chorus. He also was a member of the Adams County Council and was a Monroe Township Trustee. Special interests included raising and training ponies and following Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife, and sons Jack(Cheryl) Wulliman, Columbia City, Tad (Barbara) Wulliman, Manila, Philippines, and daughters, Kathy (Dan) Echelbarger, Greentown, Indiana, JoEllen(Ted) Biberstine, Berne, and Amy(Richard) Sprunger, Berne, and a sister, Catherine Nussbaum, Fort Wayne. 21 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Althea(Jack) Shoaf, brothers, Curtis, Herman, Harry, and Bill, sisters Augusta Liechty, Vera Adler, and grandson Jack Alan Haney.
Funeral services are Sunday, 2:00PM at the First Mennonite Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Saturday from 2:30-8PM at the Swiss Village Chapel. Officiating is Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger.
Burial at the MRE Cemetery.
