William D. "Bill" Augsburger, 72, rural Berne passed away Thursday morning at his home. He was born to Palmer and Senaid (Flueckiger) on January 1939 in Adams County.
Bill and his wife, Brenda lived on his parents Homestead farm in Hartford Township. He owned Bill's Ice Cream Waffle Trailer and traveled the midwest and Florida with his business. Earlier Bill owned a restaurant and grocery in Middletown and a grocery in Eaton, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda,and 2 sons and 1 daughter. Kevin (Ivette) Augsburger, Pendleton, Indiana, Dean (Jennie) Augsbuger, Middletown, Indiana,and Teresa (Kent) Veter, Middleton. 2 step sons and a step daughter. Eric (Candy) Rust, Union City, Indiana, Jevon Laux, Lewisburg, Ohio, and Lisa (Brian) Fleetwood, Brownstown, Indiana.
6 grandchildren, and 6 step grndchildren. And his dog Red "Bone".
Special interests include: fishing, motorcycle riding, and music. Bill played the keyboard & sang and organized the "Hoosier Classic Band"
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 pm at his farm west of Berne. Burial in the Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery
