Thelma E. Riesen Bell, 83, a resident of Willshire, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at her home.
Thelma was born on December 24, 1927 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of Tom and Edna (Thornburg) White, both deceased. She married Harry Riesen in August of 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1962.
Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed baking. She loved her family and was known for her great sense of humor. Thelma also had a strong bond and love for animals.
Thelma is survived by a son, Steven (Sue) Riesen of Wolcottville, Indiana; a son, Rev. Eric (Terry) Riesen of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Tonya (David) Fenstermaker of Rockford, Ohio; a sister, Maxine Prope of Albany, Indiana; a sister, Evelyn Austin of Albany; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne with the Rev. Eric Riesen officiating. Interment will be in the M.R.E. Cemetery of rural Berne.
Family and friends will be received from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
