Leonard O. “Butch” Bleeke, 78, of Decatur, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on May 21, 1941 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Morris A. Bleeke and the late Mildred (Bohnke) Bleeke.
Butch was united in marriage to Rosalyn Sommer on October 1, 1966 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served in various capacities. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #43.
Butch was employed at BF Goodrich for 35 years before retiring in 1995. He was also employed by North Adams Community Schools from 1996 to 2007.
He served in the Indiana Reserves.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn Bleeke of Decatur; son, Darren Bleeke of Decatur; two sisters, Delores Hirschy-Moore of Geneva and Marjorie (Ronald) Franz of Decatur.
Butch was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Richard L. Bleeke.
Private family & friends service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Preferred memorials can be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Worship Anew.
