David P. Hartman

David P. Hartman, 62, of Decatur, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at his residence following a medical event.

He was born on February 27, 1961, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Arnold A. Hartman and Patricia L. (Oberlin) Hartman.

Dave was employed by Hartman Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning.

He loved spending time outdoors; especially, fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Dave is survived by his mother, Patricia Hartman of Decatur, Indiana; brother, Richard (Laura) Hartman of New Haven, Indiana; sister, Vicki (Henry) Peterson-Davis of Monroeville, Indiana; brother, Doug (Heather) Hartman of Decatur, Indiana; sister, Kathi Hart of Plainfield, Indiana; sister, Kristi (Monte) Chrisman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials can be given to SPI Lutheran School or ACCF – Cancer Fund.
